When beginners are learning how to selling eBay, many of them focus solely on how to make the listing, and understanding how it all works. While these topics are very important to understand, many forget to learn about pictures. The fact is you could have the best description of your item but if you have a poor quality picture then your item likely won’t sell. If your item sells at all, it will be for much less than you could have sold it for if you had a great picture.
Descriptions are important of course but without pictures, the buyers will not be able to tell if you are telling the truth about the condition of the item. The pictures will not only show the condition of the item but it will also help describe the features or details of it. Pictures can also be used to show the size of an item. Even though you can write the dimensions or weight of something in the description box, a picture with will do much better. For example, small items can be placed next to rulers. Larger items can be put up against just about anything in your home in order to show a comparison of size.
If you want to have a very successful eBay business, you should know how to take great pictures. If you don’t include pictures in your auctions, you might as well consider your listing fees wasted. There is nothing more important than having a good picture, because it shows what your buyer is actually getting. It shows what your item looks like, its condition, and its size. It also helps your buyer to trust you, because they know that you are putting the extra time and effort into your auction to take great pictures.
If you plan on making a lot of money on eBay then you may want to consider investing in a quality digital camera and purchase a photo-editing program such as Photoshop. Photo editing programs can help make your pictures appear better looking as though they were taken by a professional.
So now that you are a little more prepared to sell things on eBay you should start taking those pictures. Take them from every angle. Take some showing the bottom, the top, and all sides of the item you are trying to sell. The more pictures you can provide of something that you are selling the better results you will receive.
