Maybe you’ve seen the other sellers on eBay and wonder where they get their merchandise. It’s easy to see who is selling stuff from around the house, but where do the other sellers get their products? Do they have a secret source?
Many eBay sellers go beyond what they find lying around the house. These people often go to yard sales and thrift stores and look for things that are valued less or marked down to less than what they’re worth. Thrift stores can be a great place to find brand new clothes with the tags still on.
Imagine an eBay seller finds a brand name shirt with a price tag of thirty dollars. They purchase the shirt for three dollars at the thrift store and they spend about a couple more dollars on listing fees. In the end, they only invested five dollars and that shirt could sell for maybe twenty dollars on eBay. The seller makes a $15 profit and the buyer receives a brand new shirt at an amount cheaper than the price tag.
To sell on eBay this way, you’ll need to spend a bit of time learning the skills. You’ll have to be aware of the things that will sell and the things that don’t. The best thing to do is research, research, research! After you do enough research, there will be no end of items that you can sell. Whether you’re at a yard sale or not, you’ll be able to find stuff to sell on eBay.
As you can see, purchasing things to sell and learning how to sell on eBay can cost a little bit of money at first. As with any business it takes money to make money, but the investment is worth it.
