Great Cars at the Auctions

So many people are tempted today by the overwhelming Internet resources, that they will even place a bid in an online car auction, minutes before it ends, without having any idea what they are buying or if they really have to go ahead with the purchase. When you are bidding in an online auction, it doesn’t mean that you should no stick to your bids just because they are digital. The custom buyer agreement you are agreeing to before joining an auction site is a legal contract as good as any other in the eyes of the law. This agreement, even if it’s a simple mouse click for you, clearly specifies all terms and conditions of the website and its auctions, and also informs you of the legal implications in case you don’t go ahead with a purchase. So maybe, once in a while , it would be a good idea to actually read what we agree to do before clicking NEXT.

Carefully inform your self of the following before placing bids online : - The fact that you buy what you see in pictures, without really seeing the car for real. It’s obvious that besides the pictures you’ll get a carefully written description and maybe even phone numbers or addresses. If you want to buy a certain type of car, let’s say a LeBaron Chrysler car, then make sure you have on the right information, and then read the seller’s description. If you live near the auction issuer, it’s no problem because you can personally visit the car. But if the car is located very far away, then things are not that simple anymore. And the sad things is that the far away cars are usually the ones that sell for less. Therefore, you must talk to the owner and evaluate the car over the phone, ask him background details and so on.

- People placing bids without paying attention are also a problem. Don’t act like saints now, I’m sure you did it at least once but got lucky and someone else overbid you. We all think that there’ll be another bidder for sure. That is a misconception, because every bid can be the winning one, and bidding equals buying in online car auctions.

- Cars that lack information and/or owner phone number. If a car is lacking details and is also very cheap or when you are the first bidder, it should be regarded as a potential risk. The good news is that you can track the car with the help of specialized services that will tell you everything there is to know, for a fee.

- Extra bids that are fake bids. You are not crazy if you think it’s a bit odd when someone places a bit just when you think you’ve on, making you place a bigger one. Don’t be tempted, these bids are usually made by the owners friends and family, and they are only trying to increase the car value and trick you into overpaying.

- Car location and transportation. It’s quite a problem if you are American and want to buy a car from Japan, because the distance is enormous and shipping can get very costly.
